“We all use music in our burlesque. But what can we do to make it work for us? How do we find that magical tune that will inspire us and excite the audience? How can we use those special moments in music to accentuate our moves? How do we move to particular kinds of music?
Anja Pavlova has been studying 20th century dance for the last 5 years and had a childhood ruined by classic piano and ballet classes. She loves classic jazz and dirty blues, as well as 90s pop music, Tchaikovsky and hipster rap.
In this class you will listen to different kinds of music, discuss what you would do if you had to make an act to this and that tune, how to choose your perfect track, and in the end of the class, create a small group routine.
Please bring comfortable heels and a costume piece of your choice (gloves, scarf, boa, bra etc.).”
