Learn all the ins, outs, ups, and downs of working with one of the most ubiquitous props around, the chair! Sure you can sit on it to take off your stockings, but what else?  Ariyana La Fey will lead the class through some introductory warmups and exercises to help make you comfortable with the basics of chair dancing, and then we’ll build a short routine together!  You’ll leave with all kinds of homework and inspiration to continue your personal explorations with a chair.  If you already have a favorite chair, please bring it!

Ariyana La Fey has been teasing and thrilling the Bay Area for over a decade, as a burlesque performer, aerialist, and all-around performer and muse.
She’s been called “The Little Blonde Force of Nature”, and she was a featured performer at Red Hots Burlesque in 2014.
Her favorite acts all involve the use of props – mundane, silly, or sublime – there’s probably a prop in it somewhere.
With her acrobatic and wide-ranging creative background, Ariyana’s approach to an everyday item, the chair, will leave you looking at your world a bit differently.
