Chair Dance with Willow J Learn valuable tricks of the tease trade with this sultry and dynamic workshop! Discover just exactly what you can do with a chair. Combining bump n grind with seductive poses and crowd pleasing tricks, this workshop will unleash your creative energy giving you basic tools an choreography needed to develop your own sassy chair dance. A great way to improve core-strength, flexibly.. and flirtation! Please wear attire that doesn’t restrict your movement. All participants are required to bring a pair of stockings and a pair of heeled shoes (preferably ones that can slip on and off).

Willow J – Biography: Melbourne based performer
Willow J fell in-love with Burlesque in 2002 and has been bumpin’ her butt and sharing her erotic, comical and sometimes dark and twisted tales with audiences around the globe ever since. The journey began with the notorious neo-burlesque troupe Voodoo Trash Dolls (2002 – 2009) receiving the award for best Victorian Burlesque Troupe 2006; and most recently as a solo artist (2009 – present). Trained in many different dance and movement forms including Bouffant with acclaimed master Phillippe Gaulier, her original and provocative self-devised pieces draw from cross-disciplined art forms including acting, tango, bouffant, butoh, and martial arts. As a director, producer, choreographer and award-winning actor Willow J’s work extends to film, TV, theatre, physical theatre, performance art, and experimental theatre.
In 2008 Willow J, along with co-founder, opened the doors to Australia’s most fierce school of Burlesque & Pole Dancing – Bottoms Up!
