This week for our legend of the week, we’re honoring all of the legendary ladies who made it to the Burlesque Hall of Fame!

We’re sure to be washing the hairspray from our hair and sparkles from our skin for the next couple of days after the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend, but it’s always worth it to spend the weekend dancing with burlesque legends until 4 a.m. (Yes, looking at you, Viva La Fever!) We had a surprise brunch with Judith Stein, the Grand Beaver of Canadian Burlesque, as soon as we walked through the door: she was real excited to see our asses bouncing in front of her. We learned that Kitten Natividad definitely slept with Tom Selleck, and Penny Starr, Sr. had relations with Frankie Avalon, while EZ Rider turned down Tom Jones. Big Fannie Annie called us “positively petite” in comparison to her and Dusty Summers told us how she smuggled doves in her purse into Canada, saying, “Being dumb helps sometimes.” Tiffany Carter told us that once when a man was harassing her from the audience while she was onstage, she jumped off the stage and hit him in the face with a beer bottle. Viva La Fever showed off her bikini body poolside, and Gina Bon Bon hit the stage on Legends Night looking just as phenomenal as ever! We’ll forever remember EZ Rider‘s weekly show rituals while performing: “The only ritual I had was at the end of the week motherfuckers would pay me.” We loved Toni Elling‘s smile when chatting with her about Perle Noire’s glowing tribute to her Sunday night. And Camille 2000? Well, we’re never going to forget why she loves Red Hots so much.
