New Mexico brings us a daring diva: known as “The Circus Starlet of Burlesque,” Mercy has an unquenchable curiosity. We love her sizzling sparkle! Her desire to learn everything is what sets her apart from the burlesque pack. Besides being a burlesque performer and alternative model, Mercy is a medal-winning gymnast and is classically trained in ballet, all skills she’s informed in her performances that have included writhing on glass last year at supperCLUB for Red Hots Burlesque. Four years ago Mercy was opening as a burlesque artist for a sideshow when one of the sideshow performers didn’t show up. The sideshow gave her three hours to decide if she wanted to join them, and she gave her pets to her mother and sold her apartment, running away with the sideshow for two years, a decision she never regretted. Her mother definitely had some quams: “I passed up a full ride to Cambridge. It nearly killed my mom.” Mercy infuse fire, magic, sideshow and so much more into her classic burlesque stylings. “I want people to look back and say this was a fantasy they had,” Mercy tell Red Hots Bulresque, “and they can’t believe it’s real.”
